DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PROGRAMA

REQUISITOS DE POSTULACIÓN

  • Estar cursando enseñanza media al momento de postular.
  • Tener entre 15.8 y 18.6 años al momento del inicio del programa.
  • Presentar un proyecto en video, basado en los ODS de la ONU.
  • Tener una salud compatible con la experiencia.

INSCRIPCIÓN

  • La inscripción tiene un valor de $50.000

PROYECTO ODS

  • Cada postulante debe realizar un proyecto orientado en dar solución a una de los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) presentados por las Naciones Unidas en su Agenda 2030. Encuentra más detalles de los ODS y de cómo hacer tu proyecto aquí.

Información específica:

  • Los estudiantes deben estar motivados hacia la actividad escolar y tener buenas notas.
  • AFS Islandia sugiere que los participantes tengan un nivel intermedio del idioma inglés para que a través de ese idioma los estudiantes aprendan el islandés. El país sugiere entrar al sitio http://tungumalatorgh.is/ifa/ para comenzar con el aprendizaje del idioma.
  • La mayoría de las ubicaciones se realizan en ciudades pequeñas y áreas rurales.
  • Los estudiantes deberán estar dispuestos a viajar grandes distancias para asistir al colegio y a tener una vida social limitada debido a eventuales ubicaciones en lugares distantes o en áreas rurales.
  • AFS Islandia también utiliza la modalidad de varias ubicaciones para un estudiante.
  • Los estudiantes islandeses se gradúan del colegio a la edad de 20 años, ya que los dos últimos años de escolaridad son equivalentes a un primer año de universidad.
