Postulaciones abiertas a los intercambios escolares 2021

El jueves 16 de abril AFS Chile abrió el proceso de postulación para los Programas de Intercambio Escolar que comienzan en enero y agosto del 2021. Todos los programas están dirigidos a estudiantes de enseñanza media que deseen vivir durante un año o un semestre fuera de Chile y aprender un nuevo idioma mientras conocen una cultura diferente.

El objetivo principal de los intercambios AFS es lograr que jóvenes accedan a oportunidades de aprendizaje intercultural y desarrollen habilidades necesarias para desenvolverse en el siglo XXI como, por ejemplo, la adaptación, solución de programas y el trabajo en equipo. Además, se espera que los estudiantes aprendan sobre ciudadanía global y la importancia de la colaboración entre culturas en un mundo interconectado.

NUEVOS DESTINOS
AFS Chile cuenta con más de 30 destinos en todos los continentes. Este año se incorporaron Polonia, India y Egipto para los estudiantes que deseen comenzar su intercambio anual en agosto del 2021.

En cada país anfitrión AFS cuenta con un grupo de voluntarios y staff que apoyarán la experiencia de los estudiantes durante su intercambio.

BECAS “CIUDADANO GLOBAL”
Cada año la organización trabaja por ampliar el acceso a oportunidades interculturales y fomentar que más jóvenes de Chile se vayan de intercambio. De hecho, más del 50% de los estudiantes de AFS viajan con algún tipo de contribución. Manteniendo este espíritu, para el proceso de postulación de este año, los interesados podrán acceder a la Beca “Ciudadano Global” y financiar alrededor del 30, 50 o 90% del programa, dependiendo de su situación socioeconómica.
